Yesterday my mom sent me this photo of my cousin Rachel and I in her backyard. I was immediately taken back to a flood of memories, my cousins side yard, the sleepovers and family meals, the garage sales and late nights begging for ‘just one more hour”. The simplicity of our humble beginnings as a crazy family. After seeing this photo I can remember all these moments & how they felt, at some point in being an adult I forgot about this joy I had as a child… like standing on a bench getting sprayed with water, and all the fleeting memories we had growing up. It made me want to find away to bring this little girl with her hands on her knees laughing back into my everyday…to experience life freely. When my mom sent me this photo & the feeling that washed over me, completely touched to why Our Days is so important. The days you are experiencing right now as a family, will be cherished in a very tangible way as your children pick up the photographs and are taken back to the here & now with such joy and gratitude.
