I grew up in Western Springs, Illinois so it is always so fun to turn down Central Avenue and relive childhood memories as I make my way to my clients homes. Working with this darling family was nothing less that an ease: i am finding that there are a few common denominators with all my really successful family sessions; carefully curated outfits, a trust in the process… in other words, the parents know I understand they want a smiling photograph but they trust me in the process of getting to that individual family photo. we all enter the time from a place of embracing the moment; whether that is a dance party, reading a book or individual mom & me time between each of the kids. I am inspired the most when I know the parents i work with have prepared themselves to go with the flow, to embrace the crazy and to not to need to be in control of the experience but rather experience it for themselves and their children. Yes cute curated outfits help & inspire me but I am really all about the quiet whispers and the belly laughter.
